It's hard to think about Christmas while the weather is hot, but as you shop for shoes this summer and fall, don't forget that we are collecting shoeboxes for Samaritans' Purse. These boxes are filled with toys, candy, and personal hygiene items for poverty stricken children worldwide. It may be the only gift they receive this Christmas!

Explorer Girls
Please be in prayer for the following girls as they head off to Mt. Gilead for Explorer Girl Camp from August 10th until the 16th Amanda Axelson, Erin Barnes, Brett Barnes, Katherine Berger, Alicia Calkins, Frannie Cooper, Chelsea DeWeese, Elizabeth Durstewitz, Cassidy Fletcher, Bridget Martin and Emilie Spriggs.

Rally Day and the Annual Sunday School Picnic will be held on September 7th. Everyone is invited to participate. A coffee hour and program will be held during the Sunday School Hour and following the 11:00 service, we will be having and old fashioned picnic at the Cape May County Park. There will be games and other events planned for the day. Please mark your calendar!
The A.B.W. is collecting sheets for the bandage making project this fall. Donations may be left in the church foyer. ______________________________________________
The Sunday School is looking for valunteers who can occasionally tteach either Sunday School or Children's Church. Please contact Sharon Spriggs to let her know you are willing to help.
Vacation Bible School will be held at the Church from August 17th to the 22nd. If you have children between the ages of 3 and 12 who are interested in attending, please contact Dianna or Jordan Spangler at 884-8359. If YOU are interested in volunteering or in donating items for the children also let Dianna or Jordan know. Donations of snacks or crafts will be gratefully accepted. NO offers of help will be refused. Vacation Bible School is always a fun time for the children and adults who participate. It is an opportunity to guide young lives in a life of Christian direction. Please pray for the program.
It sure was nice to have Bob Jones visit our church in July. Bob and his late wife, Nancy were valued members of our church for several years until moving from the area. Bob now splits his time between Florida and Pennsylvania but can't resist stopping to visit when he is in the area.
