Carnival for Connor

There will be a carnival on April 5th to raise money for Connor Eckel whose father, Brady Eckel, was killed in a car accident on December 23rd. The carnival will be at the Villas Fire Hall. There will be Family Fun, Food, Games, a Chinese Auction, Live Auction, Door prizes and a Homemade Quilt Auction. Food has been donated by Lucky Bones Restaurant. DJ "Eddy B" will be providing the music. Tickets are $20.00 for adults and children under 16 are free. They are available at Swain's Hardware and Lucky Bones or you can purchase them at the door. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to help Connor, please contact “The Connor Eckel Fund” C/O Sturdy Savings Bank, 701 Washington Street , Cape May , NJ 08204 .  To arrange for pick up of door prizes, Chinese auction items or live auction items, or for tickets, please contact Sherrie Hanagan @ 609-846-3690 or Frank Kohler @ 609-425-0889.

Please remember Connor's mom, Dana Sanfilippo as she struggles to recover from her injuries.

A Prayer for Lent

O Lord, open my eyes that I may see more clearly the condition of my soul. If there is darkness, mean-spiritedness, egotistic pride...or worse within me, cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Renew a right spirit within me and make me truly Christ-like in all my thoughts and actions. And when I begin to edge away from your will, please stir up my conscience until I am in harmony with you again.

In Christ's name. Amen
